ABOUT THE MUSICIANS

A born and bred Chicago tenor player, Ben Schmidt-Swartz has had a prolific career as a saxophonist, woodwindist, composer and educator. Whether the style is avant-garde or bebop he feels at home in any musical situation, and strives to find new ways of creating alchemy within different genres and disciplines.

Erik Sowa is a drummer/percussionist based out of Chicago. He is currently involved in musical collaborations with Pete Cautious, Thomas Comerford, and Snek Trio. Erik has recently released a solo album of instrumental compositions called "Cedar Lake Recordings Vol. 1" available on his Bandcamp label, Sliptoh Recordings.
